Alternatively, every year, the Sociedade Portuguesa de Química and the Colegio Oficial de Químicos de Galicia organise jointly the  International ENCONTRO GALEGO PORTUGUESE OF CHEMISTRY conference, which this year reaches its 30th edition.

The ENCONTRO GALEGO-PORTUGUÊS DE QUÍMICA is an internationally recognized congress, established over three decades as a key meeting point for researchers, professionals, and students working across the various fields of Basic and Applied Chemistry.

This congress provides an ideal forum for presenting and discussing research, both fundamental and applied, in oral and poster formats, fostering scientific exchange and international collaboration. Young researchers are especially encouraged to present their findings in a welcoming, participatory, and scientifically stimulating environment.
